iManage has released Update 2 for the 8.5 IDOL Indexer’s Service Pack 2. Because it is bug-fixes only, and because it requires a re-index, you should not deploy this update unless you need one of the specific fixes. Also significant, especially for those whose Indexers may be running constantly loaded – it reverses the indexing order’s use of document number, indexing oldest to newest.

There is a significant change in the document indexing order. Old documents are indexed before new documents to improve relevance ranking. Hmm…more later on this. Also a re-Index is necessary to resolve the specific language support issues described in the Resolved Issues.

Autonomy has pulled the Update 2 for WorkSite Indexer 8.5 Sp2. An issue with the Content Engine verion 7.5.11 was discovered; (some private documents may not return in searches).
